Yes. Duplex and row home configurations are available using the same engineered steel-panel system, adapted for shared-wall construction. Contact us for project-specific design options.
Technology and Construction
Learn how it is built →Zona Verde homes use a Polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam core with an R-value of 48, more than double the R-15 to R-22.5 typically found in stick-built or prefab homes. The 150mm (6-inch) core delivers superior year-round comfort and significantly lower energy bills.
Yes. Zona Verde homes are engineered to withstand wind speeds of 109 mph and are rated F2 tornado resistant. The galvanized steel panels with PIR foam core also provide superior fire resistance compared to wood-framed homes. Steel will not ignite or contribute to fire spread.
Electrical conduit and plumbing runs are pre-routed through each steel panel at the factory before shipping. On-site, licensed electricians and plumbers only need to make final connections with no cutting into walls required. This eliminates the most time-consuming rough-in trades that slow down traditional construction.
Minimal. The factory powder-coated steel exterior does not require repainting or re-siding. Steel panels do not rot, warp, crack, or attract termites or rodents. Interior steel walls eliminate drywall cracks and nail pops. The result is significantly lower lifetime maintenance costs compared to wood-framed construction.
Process and Timeline
See the full process →From order to move-in, a Zona Verde home can be ready in 4 to 6 months. This includes 4 to 6 weeks for manufacturing, 5 to 8 weeks for shipping, and approximately 30 days for on-site construction. Site preparation runs in parallel with manufacturing and shipping so there is no waiting period between panel delivery and the start of construction.
A comparable stick-built home takes 12 to 18 months from planning to move-in. A Zona Verde home can be ready in 4 to 6 months, roughly three times faster. Panels arrive with electrical and plumbing pre-routed, eliminating the most time-intensive phases of traditional construction.
No. Zona Verde's project manager and construction engineer arrive on-site one week before panel delivery to train your crew. No prior experience is required. Panels are numbered and color-coded and slide into place on a track system. Once trained, your crew can build additional Zona Verde projects independently.
Zona Verde provides end-to-end project partnership: consultation and scoping, manufacturing, real-time shipment tracking, site coordination, on-site crew training, and engineering support throughout construction. Every home is delivered complete with all appliances, fixtures, and finishes installed, move-in ready from day one.
