"Each Four Winds Home offers 2,022 square feet of elevated living, tailored for families and multigenerational households."

Randy Edgerton — CEO, Zona Verde, Inc.

A Home Named for the Wind

The Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas is launching Phase 1 of a landmark housing initiative in Eagle Pass, Texas — 25 new homes across two primary worksites, built with Zona Verde's 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath steel panel system. The Tribe named this model the "Four Winds Home," a name rooted in Kickapoo heritage that reflects harmony, direction, and the interconnectedness of family and nature.

Each Four Winds Home is 2,022 square feet, designed for families and multigenerational households. The open-concept layout connects living, dining, and kitchen zones in a single light-filled space. Clerestory windows and oversized glazing bring in natural light while preserving privacy, and the flat-roof silhouette gives the neighborhood a bold, contemporary character.

The kitchen anchors the home with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and generous storage. Four large bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a guest half bath, and an oversized utility room with laundry hookups complete a home that balances space, practicality, and quality.

Four Winds community site plan — 25 Zona Verde steel panel homes for the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas in Eagle Pass

Built for Durability and Efficiency

The Four Winds Home is built on Zona Verde's steel panel system — factory-engineered panels that arrive at the site ready to assemble, with insulation, electrical conduit, and plumbing lines built in. The superstructure goes up in days, not months, and the factory-applied powder-coated exterior requires no repainting and no ongoing maintenance.

High-performance insulation, double-pane windows, and clerestory glazing reduce energy consumption year-round. Every roof is engineered to support future solar installation. From the steel structure to the granite countertops, every component is selected for long-term durability — homes built to serve Kickapoo families for generations.

Housing That Builds More Than Homes

With 25 homes underway in Phase 1, the Four Winds project is creating immediate impact in Eagle Pass — new housing for Kickapoo families, local employment, and workforce skills that will carry forward into future projects. A 48-person local construction crew was trained by Zona Verde's engineering team and will deploy to build additional homes across the region.

These homes are designed for how the Kickapoo community actually lives — spacious enough for extended families, durable enough for decades of use, and built with a quality that reflects the Tribe's vision for its future. The Four Winds Home marks the beginning of a broader housing initiative, with the Tribe evaluating additional Zona Verde models for future phases.
